Horizon CEO, Joel White, spoke with Politico about which health care programs the Department of Government Efficiency could target in the Trump Administration’s efforts to slash more than $2 trillion in government spending.
“There are dozens of regulations, programs, and funding with dubious value,” said Joel White, a GOP health strategist with Horizon Government Affairs who was once the Ways and Means Health Subcommittee’s staff director. “They increase burden on patients and doctors, nurses, hospitals, nursing homes, health plans, and drug and device manufacturers without improving patient care or lowering costs.”
“340B in particular seems ripe for a top-to-bottom management review and overhaul,” said White.
