Combination creates best-in-class health care and life science advocacy offering
Washington, D.C. – Monument Advocacy, a leading national, bipartisan government relations and public affairs firm, today announced Horizon Government Affairs, a health care policy consultancy in Washington, DC, is joining the firm. This is Monument Advocacy’s first transaction since teaming up with Everlane Equity Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm.
“For nearly 20 years, Joel White and his team have counseled Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and health policy coalitions on how to navigate the U.S. health care system and its complex policy and political landscape,” said John Murray, CEO of Monument Advocacy. “Horizon is the first in a series of strategic partnerships designed to bolster our platform’s government relations and public affairs offerings.”
“Monument Advocacy’s commitment to exceptional client service and their strong track record of both government relations and public affairs campaigns made them a natural fit for Horizon,” said Joel White, President and CEO of Horizon Government Affairs. “This partnership enables us to expand our policy capabilities to include areas like artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, as well as access a deeper bench of public affairs experts for our corporate, non-profit, and coalition work. At the same time, Monument’s health care clients get access to our experts. Monument and Horizon share a common philosophy around culture and service, that’s why this is a win-win for both our clients and our people.”
“We invested in Monument Advocacy with the intention of finding firms to complement its client work and accelerate the overall growth strategy – and Horizon fits that model perfectly,” said Evan Horton, Managing Partner at Everlane Equity Partners. “This is just the beginning, and we look forward to continuing to expand Monument’s capabilities and footprint.”
The transaction closed June 30, 2025. Horizon Government Affairs will operate as Monument Advocacy going forward.
